Terms and Conditions

Upon submission of application to participate in the competition implies that contestant will unconditionally accept all the rules, regulations and terms therein:

1. This is a solo competition using classical guitar. There is no age limit and it is open to all nationalities and any level/standard
2. Registration fee is non- refundable nor transferable
3. Throughout the entire competition, it will be open to the public to attend
4. There will be 16 Semifinalists and 8 finalists
5. Contestant/s must arrive on the required time for the competition otherwise they will be disqualified
6. Certificate of participation will only be awarded to contestant who take part in the competition
7. Competitors are not allowed to leave the competition hall before the announcement of the results from heats to final. Otherwise, they will be will be disqualified immediately
8. All prize-winners are required to attend the Prize Presentation Ceremony at the end of the festival
9. Copyright Act – Contestants performing an unpublished work or works in any form must obtain the necessary approval to perform such works during the competition. The Organizer will not be responsible for any copyright or composer’s fee incurred. Contestant must also agree to indemnify the Organizer against any action and/or claims for damages from any third party who owns the copyright
10. Throughout the competition, which will be recorded, contestant/s must acknowledge that any rights to the material indicated above belong exclusively to the organizer of the competition who may use it in any form and manner.
11. Contestant/s and all are not allowed to record or video in any form during the competition
12. The Jury reserves the right to stop the contestant/s at any point during performance (interrupt or shorten) and also at any stage of the competition. In the event of an exceptionally complex result in the evaluation of the finalists, the jury may request contestant/s to perform an additional piece.
13. Contestant/s must accept without appeal, the decision of the International Jury especially admission to the final or the awarding of the prizes. All contestants must fully respect the official decision of the Jury. The decision of Jury is final, no enquiries will be entertained.
14. The Organizer reserves the right to combine or arrange players in any order of appearance
15. Any changes must be submitted to the Organizer before 4 December 2013
16. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the competition if there are insufficient contestants. In the event of cancellation, all registration fees will be fully refunded
17. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the competition without prior notice.
